The viril is the central piece of a Eucharistic monstrance, aimed to solemnly expose the consecrated Host on the altar or to carry it in procession in the round glass case, that is, the host receptable.
This piece stands out for the wealth of materials that compose it, of different colours, such as the diamonds decorating the lunette, where the consecrated host would be placed, as well as the concentric rings delimiting a border of large amethysts faceted in hexagons. The whole is also circumscribed by a halo of lanceolate rays with undulating contours covered with green stones.
