Chapel of the Crib
Situated on the left of the corridor leading to the sacristy is the small Altar of the Crib.
Its carved and gilded wooden altarpiece with double Solomonic columns has a rectangular central niche with a crib-reliquary, composed of small figures coated in silver gilt. This work dates from 1615 and was commissioned by Dona Maria Rolim da Gama, the wife of Luís da Gama.
